This site is dedicated to Taura, my distant friend.
We became connected after I read about her and her
brave fight for a brighter future for the kids in the
neighbourhood in Namibia. I looked at her picture in the magazine
and suddenly felt very touched:
I am just sitting here without doing anything
and for her all the life is struggling with circumstances.
How to participate, how to support her?
I wrote a letter to the author of the article and
a miracle happened, I got a connection to her via email!
Now I support her with a small amount of money every month.
She speaks wonderful English and we have called some times
each other. There is also one more thing we share.
She works as a teacher, but without formal education.
I am going to study to be a teacher too, after being a nerd
till my forties, and my daughter is sharing the same wish.
So this is a story of three women having the same vision
and about the journey to the same goal.
I attended in June a course in Summer University, name of the course was "Teaching, Guiding and Learning", maybe in right terms "Didactic, Pedagogic and Learning". We plan to try community based learning, let's see how it goes.
